This place is great! It was just around the corner of my AirBnB, and I it was the perfect spot for wrapping up the day with one (or a few) glasses of wine. Staff was very attentive too. I came here three times during my 5 night stay in Lisboa - that says a lot!
A beautiful wine experience in the heart of Lisbon. The atmosphere feels warm, elegant and full of character, with one of the most unique interiors I’ve seen. Excellent wine selection, quality products and a great vibe from the moment you walk in. Perfect place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and experience something different in the city. Highly recommended. 🍷
We absolutely loved this place! We started our trip in Lisbon at By the Wine and ended it there as well — a perfect way to begin and finish our journey. Everything is superb: the food is excellent, and the wines and ports are amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly Barbara was absolutely fantastic! and truly know what they’re doing. Just follow their recommendations — you won’t regret it! Hopefully, we’ll be back again soon. 😘
We’d originally planned to do a wine tasting here but didn’t get round to booking this in advance. We turned up, explained and asked if a tasting was possible to which they agreed to let us sample three wines and then share a glass of our favourite from these three. We did this twice, once with white wine and once with rose. The barman was very knowledgeable and friendly and guided us through our selections with ease. The striking interior design of this place is centred around backlit wine bottles which cover the arched ceiling. We sat at the bar for about an hour and observed how busy it got. A reservation for dinner would be advised…..
Almost 5 years in Lisbon and I didn't know this place. What a shame! I liked the vibe, it's like going to TimeOut Market but more private, and more elegant. We went for the Matheus Dry, the bottle went for 16 euros, which in my opinion is a great price. We really liked it ans we sat right at the bar. They have a lot of choices to pick from, and great presunto and cheese to complement the wine. We didn't try that, unfortunately. Instead we went for a prego with fries and mustard that was pretty nice. However, overpriced in my opinion. It goes for 15 euros, but in my opinion it should be 9 - 12. All in all is a great place. I will come here for my next date!
